Six Faux Leather Jackets under $100

*Hurry while the Veterans Day sales are still on!*

As the temps are getting lower, I am finding myself in need of jackets to keep warm this fall and winter. Unfortunately for those who like to save a pretty penny, leather jackets can get quite expensive. A great alternative to leather is faux leather, of course. From a mere $25, any of these jackets will keep you cozy and on-trend this fall.

A leather, or faux leather, jacket is an extremely versatile piece. It can be layered over a simple top or can be dressed up over a cocktail dress. However you wear it, it is sure to be a staple in your closet.

Happy Weekend!

Trendy Thursday: Ankle Boots

Since it is finally fall {yay!}, there is no doubt that we all need a pair of boots. Not only do they keep your toes warm in the colder temperatures, they also are super easy to throw on with a dress and leggings or tucked into some good ol' jeans. Typically I love leather boots that hit right below my knees, but this fall I'm digging the ankle boot.

They are so effortless to wear and are something different to add to your fall wardrobe. Plus if you have skinny calves, like me, they don't look like you are wearing boots five sizes too big.

These celebs are pairing their boots with black skinnies and flippy minis.

Here, I am sharing some of my favorite ankle boots out there...

Do you prefer ankle boots or taller boots?

Celebrate the start of Fall with some fun ankle boots.

2013 Emmy Awards: Trends of the Night

In between the finale of Breaking Bad and the ever-hilarious Neil Patrick Harris, the 65th Emmy Awards was a world-wide event for celebrities to wear beautiful, trend-setting gowns. I love watching the red carpet at home and thinking I would wear that in a heartbeat! and especially, What in the world were they thinking?. Check out the trends that were popular on Sunday night's red carpet.

NYFW: Day One

This post is a few days behind, but worth the wait for sure! I have chosen some of my personal favorite shows to share with you today.

SUPIMA: This group of designers showed off their talent in combining beautiful colors, patterns, and shapes to create stunning, work-of-art dresses.

DESIGUAL: His designs really just make you want to smile as big as the models! The bright colors and bold patterns really give of a spring vibe, but not in a traditional way, more of a 70s retro, mod feel.

TADASHI SHOJI: His designs show various textures and pastel colors that compliment each other. My favorite aspect is the spring-like, pastel colors and the dresses' overly feminine design.

Out of any of the day one designers, who was your favorite?

Trendy Thursday: Cropped

The cropped top is a very daring fashion statement. It shows that you 1. have a great bod, and 2. have confidence in yourself. Plus it gives you the appearance of mile-long legs, which never hurts! These celebs have rocked the runway in cropped tops and have matched them with flowing skirts.

Which celeb wears the cropped look the best? My vote is definitely for Lily!

Happy Trendy Thursday!

What color should you wear this fall?

You may remember, last season the color was mint. Everything mint. But this fall the it color is..

COBALT BLUE.

I am loving this color! It is a super fun pop of color that can be dressed up for special occasions,  or you can add a splash into your daily dress code.

Even a splash of cobalt, like a bag or necklace, will have you trendy for fall. Or you could go bigger and try a dress or blouse.

I am loving these trendy jewel tones like emerald and cobalt-sapphire! Remember Ellie Saab's fall/winter line in Paris? See it here.

So tell me.. will you try cobalt this fall?

Have a bright and early Monday!
