Love or Loathe?

Leather.

It is everywhere. Skirts, dresses, and sofas, of course. However, it can be incredibly hard to pull off But lately I have grown to love it! The leather look has an edginess to it, like in Kylie Jenner and Lauren Conrad. However, it can also be flirty and feminine like Kristin Cavallari with a simple white shirt and pink leather.

 So...tell me:

Do you love or loathe leather?

Happy Monday, lovebugs!

Trendy Thursday: Jump into a Jumpsuit

The jumpsuit is an iconic style that has been seen numerous times. From a jail cell to a concert the jumpsuit has had many appearances in its time.

Really quick history lesson -- The jumpsuit originally appeared in the 1960s, but really became popular in the groovy 80s where many celebrities wore them performing on stage. Celebrities like Britney Spears, Mick Jagger, Elvis Presley, and the Spice Girls have sported this trend back in the day. Outside of the fashion world, jumpsuits are used by mechanics, skydivers, pilots and skiers. They are also known for being worn by inmates in that not-so-fabulous orange. And today they are popping up everywhere by popular stars.

Enough with the history lesson, here are a few stars who have dared to wear this fun trend!

I think my favorite might be Alessandra's because of that fab color combo, plus it is super casual for a day of shopping or running around town. Which is your favorite?

Summer Beach Totes

Who doesn't need a fab beach bag? After all, us girls have a lot to tag along to the beach, so might as well make it look good!
I rounded up a few fun summer totes that you can carry along to the beach or even a pool.

Do you already have a favorite tote? Or are you in need of something new to tote around?

Even though summer is coming to a close, make sure you find your perfect summer accessory!

Happy Tuesday!

Trendy Thursday: To The Maxi

Do ya love the new header? Well, expect some new exciting changes to the blog's look, I'm trying to finalize The Capricorn Notebook's perfect look!

Anyways, it's Trendy Thursday and today is all about maxi dresses and skirts. I would love to talk about the black and white trend that is still uber hot, but I have already covered that. So another trend that I am dying to try is the maxi trend. Even though we all love fun, short little dresses, we can mix it up with a casual, long, flowy skirt/dress. It is perfect for those long, hot summer days when you just need to throw something over a bikini, or even just for going out. I love the ease of this trend and a simple tank goes perfectly over a patterned skirt.

Here are some celebs showing off this trend and also a few skirts (with links below) that you can buy today to satisfy your maxi skirt need!

How easy do these outfits look? Simple right? I love that!

Which is your favorite? I'm lovin' the pink with the sheer overlay. I love how even lighter and airier it the sheer adds to it.

Have you tried the maxi dress/skirt trend yet? Do you love or loathe it?

Happy trendy Thursday to you!

Paris Haute Couture Week 2013

If you are super into the world of fashion, then you may know this past  week was ...
Paris Haute Couture.

A week of runways and models showcasing the future trends of the upcoming seasons ahead, all in the city of love, Paris (feel free to say that in your best French accent)! Incredible designers such as Ellie Saab, Chanel, and Dior display their chic collections for the fall and winter seasons. As I am looking through the photos of the models, I am in awe of the beautiful designs that have been created by these genius fashion icons. But I can't keep these all to myself, so here are some of my favorite looks from this fashionable week.

ELLIE SAAB. Saab's dresses are to die for! This collection showcases beautiful jewel tones such as emerald, ruby, and sapphire. Would you not die to wear any of these?? And what do you think about the final dress? Beyond gorgeous, right?

DIOR. Dior ventured outside of the typical fall browns, oranges, and plums, and went with very vibrant colors with lots of electric blue and red punches. His looks are very couture and super unique.

CHANEL. One word describes this show. Tweed. Lagerfeld's collection is all about tweed, with every look showing the endless possibilities of this Fall-forward fabric.

So...what did you think? All three of these designers have trends that I will definitly be looking for this fall and winter.

Jewel tones, vibrant pops of color, and tweed. Which of these did you love the most?

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Brand Lovin': Kate Spade

I don't think I can even tell you how much I love Kate Spade! I just swoon over all over her style and I love the little quirky touches added into the designs. One of my favorite things from Kate Spade are all of the handbags because of their classic, simple, and timeless design.

I love the fun strips on the classic shape of the bag (left) and the other bag is super quirky and fun, not that I would tote it around on any given day!

Here are some other things I love from Kate Spade...

That is a little peek into the Kate Spade world that I am very in love with!

Are you lovin' Kate Spade too?

I hope your week is fashionably fun!
